My Approach

Attachment-focused therapy is a therapeutic approach that helps people improve how they form and maintain emotional relationships by addressing early attachment experiences.

It is based on attachment theory, which explains how the bond between a child and caregiver shapes:

  • Emotional regulation

  • Trust and safety in relationships

  • Self-worth and identity

In attachment-focused therapy, the goal is not just to talk about problems, but to repair patterns that developed from early relationships. The therapist helps the client:

  • Recognize unhealthy relationship patterns (e.g., fear of abandonment, emotional distance)

  • Explore how childhood experiences influence current behaviors

  • Process unresolved emotions such as fear, neglect, or trauma

  • Learn healthier ways to connect, communicate, and cope
